Masjid Alkaff Upper Serangoon

A request becomes a community.

A group of Indonesian domestic workers approached the mosque with a simple hope: to hold a fellowship programme called Wisata Qolbu and make better use of their weekends.

  • The programme proceeded with mosque guidance and support.
  • Members asked to volunteer and continue religious learning.
  • Indonesian Alkaff Upper Serangoon — IAUS — was formed.

Masjid Kampung Siglap

A new home inspires a new name.

When a management change brought the Alkaff chapter to a close, Masjid Kampung Siglap welcomed the community to continue its Qur’an, Iqra and selawat activities.

  • The move kept the weekend learning circle together.
  • IAUS became Raudhatul Jannah — “Garden of Paradise”.
  • The new name expressed hope for knowledge, fellowship and blessings.

Online & community spaces

The doors close. The circle stays connected.

COVID-19 stopped face-to-face gatherings, but not the relationships behind them. Weekly Zoom sessions became a way to study, check in and support one another.

  • Members maintained silaturahmi from their homes.
  • Study and mutual support continued every weekend online.
  • Later, FAST and NTUC-supported spaces helped activities resume safely.

Masjid Angullia

A renewed mosque opens the present chapter.

In September 2021, the newly renovated Masjid Angullia provided space for Raudhatul Jannah’s weekend activities. It remains the community’s current home.

  • Qur’an study continues with Ustazah Noridah Basir (ARS).
  • Selawat activities continue under the guidance of Mohamed Anas.
  • Learning, friendship and service remain at the heart of every weekend.
